City Year
City Year is an education nonprofit that provides holistic support for students across 29 U.S. cities. I served as a Student Success Coach myself from 2019 to 2020 at City Year Philadelphia. I returned to City Year in 2021 as a communications manager, in their national marketing & communications department. My work included writing blogs and newsletters, developing social media campaign, and providing storytelling support to local sites.
Blog Writing
I wrote and edited over 20 articles for the national blog, which contributed to a 359% increase of year-over-year viewership.
Email Newsletters
I used Adobe Marketo to create and distribute monthly newsletters to 30,000+ subscribers, which compromise of AmeriCorps alums, current staff and AmeriCorps members, corporate partners, and supporters.
I also sent weekly internal newsletters to all staff with media hits pulled from Meltwater.
